Come as you are …
| |
Mary Love (left) writes ... On a recent retreat, I read the following words:-
Prayer begins with the realisation that I am loved by God as I am. His love is based on nothing and therefore, is the most basic and secure fact in life. I simply let myself be loved by God. This is not so much an activity of mine but a passivity in which I let God’s love soak in and permeate my whole being’. (Peter van Breemen SJ)
“That I am loved by God as I am” is what really spoke to me and this, of course, applies to everyone!
| The “Come as you are …” time reflects our need for a time of quiet prayer and reflection in our lives and takes place at 8 pm on the last Tuesday of each month in St Martin’s. Our time together finishes with Compline or a form of Night Prayer and then a silent departure from church.
All are welcome!
