Easter Songs of Praise Service 18 April
We gathered together to sing hymns chosen by the congregation, hear passages of scripture and a reading from “Set Free” by Hilary Faith Jones relating to Mary Magdala’s meeting with the risen Christ at the tomb on Easter Morning. Rector Susan Cooper, reminded us that Jesus continues to offer us new life as he did to the disciples.
The service finished with the rousing hymn “Thine be the Glory” and a cup of tea, biscuits and home made cakes courtesy of Jean and Derek Johnson for which many thanks!
Being well and truly out in the fields, St. Peter’s will be the perfect setting for our next Sunday service on 16th May when we celebrate Rogationtide.
